Winner of the role model category: Angela Thorpe (Third Year Student)

Congratulation to Angela Thorpe, this year’s winner of the role model category. Angela is described as ‘always friends and committed’.  One example of this is her contributions to class conversations and her willingness to share her own experiences. She is known to be a great team player who is willing to get stuck into any task.

The supporting comments applauded her achievements to date and predicted a bright future ahead. ‘Angela has done an amazing job to get through this degree while balancing family life and other commitments and will surely be a successful and creative dietitian in her career.’

Winner of the initiative and enterprise, role model and kindness and compassion categories: Carly Jeffery (Second Year Student)

Congratulation to Carly Jeffery who won three awards this year, an outstanding achievement. "Carly is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable with a remarkable presence and an infectious personality that lights up any room," reads one of the supportive comments. "She is destined to be an outstanding dietitian, and I look forward to learning a great deal from her."

Another supportive comment says: "Carly shows so much compassion and care to everyone in the cohort and is a joy to be around! She brings so much passion to the lectures and is always engaging, which encourages us all to get involved. Her natural people skills bring the cohort together and is just one of the reasons she is fantastic role model".

The last supportive comment continues the praise. "Carly is a brilliant example to our cohort, " it reads. "She is encouraging and an amazing team player, recognising and calling out her peers’ skills." Ending on a positive note about her dedication to study and willingness to assist others, it finishes: "She goes above and beyond to ensure her and others understanding of lecture content."
