Government advises parents and caregivers to stop using certain brand of kids’ sleep gummies

Parents and caregivers who have purchased Nutrition Ignition Kids Magnesium Glycinate Gummies have been advised by the government and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to stop giving them to children. The advice also states to dispose of any remaining product safely, and if a child has any side effects that are of concern, to see a healthcare professional.

This brand of children’s sleep gummies has been found to contain undeclared melatonin, a prescription-only medicine. Symptoms of taking too much melatonin include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, and nausea. Lasting harm is not expected when ingesting melatonin, even at high levels, and the body typically clears this within 12 hours.
