New genetic test for predicting obesity from early childhood

Scientists have developed a genetic score to predict obesity risk from early childhood, potentially allowing for earlier and more effective interventions.
A new genetic analysis using data from more than five million people aims to provide a clearer understanding on how DNA can predict obesity risk as early as childhood. New research led by the Universities of Copenhagen and Bristol shows analysing genes at a young age might support early strategies to prevent obesity developing later in life.
